Using teraFLOPS of GPU computational power, Brevity’s hardware algorithmically disassembles and accelerates the transfer of digital media files. When files reach their intended destinations, they are reassembled into the original or, if desired, different and multiple file formats. Engineers in leading post-production houses and major television networks have validated the video quality of the Brevity solution both in objective tests such as Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) as well as in subjective tests by experienced colorists. The technology is optimized for handing large high-bit rate video files, but also provides great benefits for files of any bit rate, codec or wrapper. Brevity can handle multi-point distribution, sending files to single or multiple locations without compromising accelerated speeds or video quality, using an optimized pipelined protocol.
